Gifts of Art - International Group Exhibition

Galleria Cael

Karin Sonesson was selected to participate in an international group exhibition in Milan, where she presented two paintings within the thematic framework “Art becomes a gift — artists offering beauty and emotion.”

The exhibition opened with a professionally curated vernissage attended by journalists, invited guests, and fellow artists, providing a dynamic international context for artistic exchange. Participating artists were invited to present their work and reflect on its relationship to the exhibition’s theme, fostering thoughtful dialogue across disciplines and cultures.

Sonesson exhibited the works Whispering Angel and Float (sold), both of which explore emotional presence, inner stillness, and the intangible value of art as a form of giving.

In this context, art is understood as a gift — an exchange of emotion, meaning, and beauty that extends beyond the physical artwork and into lived experience.

Whispering Angel embodies a quiet, spiritual sensibility. The descending golden elements suggest a moment of heightened awareness, appearing when attention turns inward and the inner voice is allowed to emerge.

Float reflects a state of inner peace and self-acceptance. The figure appears suspended in water, fully present in the moment. Subtle details, such as droplets on the skin, reinforce a sense of calm immersion and meditative stillness.

The exhibition was organized by Divulgarti.
